This is one of the most interesting releases coming up on Malignant Records this year, Italy’s Eidulon unleashes a brutal combination of dark ambient and apocalyptical orchestral music – a combination that is rare to hear – within the forthcoming release “Combustioni“. It has been a long time since we last supported Malignant Records, but that’s only because there have been no room for more then a year to get a hold of something from their releases – we blame ourselves for that, rightfully so.
Now we’re bringing you one of the most fearsome collaborations this year, Eidulon utilizes the help of Naxal Protocol for a noise-oriented, crackling atmosphere – layered beneath the might of Nordvargr’s vocals that crush through everything. In collaboration with Malignant Records we’re pleased to bring you “The Hierarchy Of The Inner Planes (feat. Naxal Protocol And Nordvargr)“, taken from the forthcoming CD-release on the 25th of March.
If you haven’t already pre-ordered this release, make sure you do and fetch the CD as well when it is available. You can stream the song exclusively via Repartiseraren’s soundcloud weeks before the release is out, down below.
The Berliner label Raubbau have upped their discography with “machine spirit transmission“, a new album courtesy of Michael Idehall. It has eight tracks in total and will be released both digitally and on cassette – the latter through ant-zen mailorder. His music have been self-described as seancetronica and one could understand why – because the music itself resonates deeply with a spiritual nerve within the listener.
Tracklist for the release is as follows:
2. ma kra oum ka bra nha
3. power mantra
4. dream circuitry
5. the singing of machines
6. technological automism
8. prophecy of the apparatus god
The previews of the songs adhere to a stronger, more present sound that Michael Idehall haven’t had as presence in his other releases. A murkier, more atmospheric and less noisy sound – which translates very well into how it progresses track to track.
You can preview snippets of each song from the ant-zen mailorder.
Independent brooklyn-based metal-label Tridroid Records have gotten the opportunity to re-release Enslaved’s fifth album “Vikingligr Veldi” on cassette – but not as a regular edition – they’ve gone out of their way to make a deluxe cassette-edition. The features for this release are screenprinted pouches, made by Bindrune Recordings, foldout booklet with english and norwegian lyrics, bonus sleeve artwork as seen on the double-LP reissue (courtesy of Zbigniew M. Bielak), two-colored printed cassette shells, everything on high-quality chrome tape reel. The layout of the release itself was made by Mark Addington from Fólkvangr Records.
The pre-orders for this exquisite release is up and it will be shipped out to customers on the 9th of November. Enslaved will have the release in stock on their European tour and Season Of Mist will distribute them for the EU customers.
It is noticeable how great it looks by glancing at the picture of the full release itself, Tridroid Records have caught our eyes in a good way by the announcement of this bit of craftsmanship. To order your copy of this release, simply head on over to their online shop and get it done. Fifteen dollars is really a bargain.
For those interested in the sound of that album, we could only find one official digital release, which is in a compilation together with “Hordanes Land“.
Black Verb Records is a new collaborator and have granted us access to their latest release, namely “Live Split EP” – an EP recorded live at Badehaus in Berlin on the 14th of May – split between DYN and Bleib Modern. We’ve been allowed to showcase the a-side of this release, which features the music of DYN, a psychedelic and shoegazy adventure between insanity and sanity. Opposites attract, they say.
You can listen to it here exclusively on Repartiseraren before release. This split will be released on the 22nd of June and you can pre-order it over at Black Verb Records. You’re in for some really psychedelic tunes, in an alternative way. Stream it in whole down below and find the tracklist as well.
1. Two Times
2. Day In Life
3. Just A Little Bit
4. I Can Handle This
5. Love Of Mine
Drawing influence from phenomenons and the history of Sweden, for example the Witch Hunting between 1668-1676, for their release on Clan Destine Records, titled “Det Stora Oväsendet“. The cover features a picturesque, in our eyes any way, painting of Swedish countryside during that time – but what lingers in the dark is not known. When you know the topic for this particular release, everything becomes so much more gloomier and frightening, like the etchings of coal on canvas. This is one of their positives which make them unique, in more ways then what sound can offer.
Their collective acronym is D.Å.R.F.D.H.S. – which spells out: Dard Å Ranj Från Det Hebbershålska Samfundet. A play with old Swedish words to create a fictive umbrella term for everything they do. Michel Isorinne and Varg (of Ulwhednar fame) are the sole proprietors of this imaginative collective, though we’d rather say they’re a “duo” – but that doesn’t sound bombastic enough. The topics they engage in seem to be less than fictional, taking most of their influence from obscure or overshadowed occurrences in Swedish history.
For their forthcoming release “Mjöldryga“, a tattoo seemingly portraying; inked in “D.Å.R.F.D.H.S.” on someones’ arm, one half of a scythe, plus a symbol of some kind, but mainly a flail that’s situated in the middle of the picture – all constitute the artwork for this album. For those of you that don’t know what “Mjöldryga” means, it means the following: (Secale cornutum) is a parasitical organism, a fungus that attacks different kinds of grown plants, including grain of different kinds. This is one part of the main theme of the album – but it goes into different perspectives, probably related to a more or less obscure happening in Swedish history. We’re thankful for them to be around to teach one about topics we as Swedes haven’t learned or didn’t care too much about. Intriguing.
We at Repartiseraren can proudly present to you a track called “Bockahorn“, taken from the B-SIde of the release. It’s a twenty-minute long escapade that hides more beneath the surface than you can imagine. You don’t hear it the first time, but there are nuances in this dark ambient, experimental ambient trip into deep conscience, taking a long time to build with ambitiously created stages in sound. It’s like a playwright completely in sound, related to forgotten bits and pieces of history. Listen to it exclusively down below. It will get released on Beläten in the very near future and hopefully before the next year arrives.
Very much have changed since Schonwald came upon us with their debut-album “Amplified Nature“, released on Pocket Heaven in 2008. From indie rock with synth-pop overtones to pure synth-pop in five years, when they released their double-single “Mercurial / Gemini” – which was dedicated to their freshly made synth-pop endeavor, on Hozac Records. Since then one year has passed and they’ve been welcomed into a place where they fit all too good. This place being Anywave, the french connoisseur for everything from dark ambient to cold wave and minimal synth – to virtually every other sub-genre you could think of. Here they put out a taste for what is to come with another double-single, this time called “Rays“, featuring two tracks from their forthcoming second album titled “Dream for The Fall“. Many things have changed but their signature has stayed the same, they’ve just engineered a more intriguing sound with futurism embedded as a central part of it. Dreamy, thoughtful and sincere are three words that can be used to describe their forthcoming album. They leap into a peripheral landscape of sound which reminds one about shoegaze – if it ever would fit into an electronic shape. Ethereal might be one of the better descriptions genre-wise, but they lend much of the influences elsewhere, too. Like cold-wave, minimal synth and post-punk.
I’ve gotten the honor to premiere a track from their forthcoming album. It’s a more bombastic track which I think is separate from the other tracks, but it’s also a great summary of the album at hand. Driven by the groovyness of a baseline that with post-punkish fervor tears into the dreaminess – creating a nice paradox. This track is titled “Achrome” and is the fourth track on “Dream for The Fall“. You can listen to it exclusively from Repartiseraren and note the date of 25th September – which is the release-date for this beauty. It will be featured on CD as well as vinyl, and you can pre-order it from Anywave or Manic Depression Records, as it is a co-release between these two labels. Pre-order it already and receive the whole album digitally and ready to be downloaded, or buy it separate if you wish. Everything on this album was recorded and mastered at Duna Studio, except “Rays” and “Lower Lovers” – which was recorded and mixed at Silver Veins Studio. Post-production was made by Aurelien Delamour, and the cover was designed by Myriam Barchechat.
On a rather short notice, we’re pleased to be unlocking a whole new sphere of sound for you. For your own hedonistic pleasure and other worldly cravings, the otherwordly reliq have a new release that will be put up for pre-ordering by aufnahme + wiedergabe on this Friday the 21st of March. This three-tracked experience in post-metal and rough experimentation titled “Empire Of Broken Signs“, will you find the tracks “In My Dreams“, “Silent Dominion” and “The Sea“. For those of you that are inexperienced, this group is currently made up by Niko Shaddah Lfo, Carolin Langner and Brandon Rosenbluth. Having released their self-titled debut-album in 2011, an EP titled “Remains” in 2013, and a single track titled “Greed” – alongside numerous contributions elsewhere – it’s fair to say that this post-metal and artsy gargantuan will flow over. Notice the initiation rituals placed between the maelstroms of riffs in a line of volcanic outbursts that attain a sonic shape. The physical release will be put out as a one-sided 12¨ vinyl, whereas the other side will have an etching covering it.
Hear them whispering around you, hear them channeling the sound of elsewhere – a rather unique sounds if you’d ask those whom heard them. Although the roots have been ripped up, the quenching sound will deliver its calm to you. Between the crackling atmosphere and the hazy reach of the landscape of sound that suck the life out of that around it. Just to give a breath of fresh air with the pouring rain of sound. Washing away all the filthiness from the core. Well, many things can be said about reliq, but it’s undoubtedly an interesting release as such. There are too many things that can evolve through this weird combination of art, metal and experimentation. A paradox involving different intrigues and common ground – within the shape of music. One city and one word: Berlin, Germany. We’re proud to announce to you the exclusive premiere of “Silent Dominion” from their forthcoming release on aufnahme + wiedergabe. Stream and listen to it exclusively down below. Have one eye open as it will be up for pre-ordering on Friday. Wait eagerly until then and stream away. If you’re interested in participating in the release-party, go to this event which will be hosted by DEATH # DISCO at Urban Spree in Berlin on the 18th of May.
